This course is based on optical waveguide theory and technology, which focuses on integrated

optical waveguide principle, technology and devices. It is a specialized elective course for undergraduate

students whose major is optical information science and engineering (Optical communication and

optoelectronic engineering direction). This course is important for students to understand the operation

principle and characteristics of the common devices used in an optical communication system.
